PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS
I. Weapons
Entries and exits in the Republic of Kosovo territory are allowed for weapons of respective categories, their ammunitions, for trade activities, import, export, for hunting reasons, sports shootings, only with authorization (licence/permit) issued by the competent organ of the Ministry of Internal Affairs/Division for weapons, ammunition and Explosives (DWAE).
Caution!
If you behave in contrary to provisions of the Law No 05/L-022 “on weapons” and other legal implementing acts and other legislation in force, when their certain activities do not constitute a criminal act, then you are liable on administrative offence.

II. Strategic goods (military and dual use goods and technologies)
Strategic goods “Military goods and dual use goods and technologies are those goods, the list of which was approved by Government Decision “On approval of the updated list for military goods and the list of items of technologies with dual use, being object of state control of international transfers”, lists which are extracted from the Law No 04/l-198 on strategic goods trade.
Caution!
If you act in contrary to provisions of the Law No 04/l-198 on trade with strategic goods and it’s implementing legal acts, when such certain actions do not constitute a criminal act, then you are responsible for administrative offence.

III. International restriction measures
The international restriction measures (international sanctions) are instruments of diplomatic or economic nature aiming to change such activities or policies such as violation of the international right or human rights, or policies not respecting the rule of law or democratic principles. These restriction measures apply in Republic of Kosovo based on the Law No 03/l-183 on implementing international sanctions and other legislation in force. Implementation of international sanctions are specified and amended by Republic of Kosovo Government decision. The Republic of Kosovo Government decisions determine which sanctions apply, time restrictions on implementation of such sanctions, terms, possible removal and entities toward whom the international sanctions apply.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs holds a database (the list of entities, persons, etc., toward whom the international sanctions apply), issues instructions and updates a list of sanctions regimes.

IV. Narcotic and psychotropic substances
Import of pharmaceutical products and medicinal products is regulated by Law No 02/L-128 “for narcotic medications, psychotropic substances and precursors”, and for importing these products a valid import licence is required.

If you act in contrary to provisions of the Law No 02/L-128 “for narcotic medications, psychotropic substances and precursors”, and its implementing legal acts, where such actions do not constitute a criminal act, then you are responsible for administrative offence.

V. Other prohibitions and restrictions:
On prohibitions, other restrictions set by the legislation in force, Kosovo Customs/Respective structures for goods subject to Prohibitions and Restrictions, performs systematic monitoring of normative acts regulating the implementation of customs procedures with goods products and dangerous products, their placement in market is forbidden and which pose serious risk for health and safety. Wild species and strictly protected species of plants and animals, culture goods and other goods subject to prohibitions and restrictions, the entry zone, quantity, cross-border traffic and long movement and remnants management, intellectual property rights, etc.
