Customs clearance
Customs requires that the imported vehicle from abroad shall have the registration document from the origin country. The procedure to be followed is:
1. Probation (compatibility with Kosovo traffic laws)
2. Clearance (tax payment)
3. Insurance
4. Registration
5. Release to free circulation
Vehicles valuation
– Schwacke catalogue for old vehicles
– Invoice for new vehicles
The clearance process (obligations of the party)
– Submitting the document
– SAD, Registration document, probation and other necessary documents
Customs (obligations)
– Valuation
– Examination
– Release of (KOS-GIRO) payment order
Taxes
– Customs tax 10 %
– Excise per cubic power and year of production
– VAT 18%
